Camping at Speyside Gardens
Alternative to the NC500
In August we had a last minute cancellation and our General Manager took one of our Land Rover Defenders for a quick visit to Aberlour which is on the Malt Whisky Trail and part of the North East 250. He spent two nights camping at the Speyside Gardens Caravan Park while exploring the local area.
This private caravan park is located in Aberlour in the beautiful Scottish countryside. Set on 6 acres within a beautiful victorian walled garden leaving you feel as if you’re camping within the walls of the “Secret Garden”.
The local area has a lot of rich history and culture to explore. What makes this campsite a handy camping spot is the fantastic local attractions. From various whisky distilleries within close proximity, to the famous Walkers Shortbread factory right around the corner.
If you love walking, this area is rich with pathways to suit all levels and the beauty of the Spey River can be explored on foot.
Three nights is not enough to explore this beautiful part of Scotland and you will not be short of things to do in the area.

This was a great caravan park and highly recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere to to stay as an alternative to the NC500.
With gravel or grass sites available, protection from the wind in amongst the trees and well maintained ablution blocks make your stay here a comfortable one. We love that the owner himself walks round in the evenings and mornings to check on his campers. While the fresh roasted coffee went down a treat in the morning.
